On June 4th, 2022, IGWS sponsored its first Limestone Festival to kick off Limestone Month. Tables were set up with displays and information from IGWS (one booth explaining limestone core samples, and another with maps and brochures on state park geology), the Limestone Institute, the Science Library, the Limestone Symposium, the Mater Naturalist program, the Monroe County Historic Preservation Board, Artisan Experience, and the Roving Naturalist. The Learning Lab was open to the general public for the first time.
